The production process of the olive oil produced at the state Cortijo “el Tobazo” has implemented the program HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) on hygiene and safety of foodstuffs and furthermore is certified by the requirements established under the following standards:
ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004
UNE 34601, UNE 34605, UNE 34606
All waste generated during the production process such as pruning remains (branches, leaves), waste water and mill waste are composted, together with dung from organic extensive cattle farming in order to achieve a natural organic fertiliser which is afterwards incorporated to the olive grove. This technique allows to close the production circle of the organic material and nutrients and recycle all by-products generated during the course of this activity.
